Computerised pattern recognition methods are becoming important for decision and diagnostic support in Medicine and many other disciplines. These Methods now permit to consider extensive sets of data, are extremely robust and can be used as inferential or inductive machines, making possibile the capture of fine diagnostic distinctions. This approach will be illustrated by considering the choice of suitable embryos to transfer in a process of human assisted reproduction. It can be shown, like in many other applications, that the precision obtained is very much higher than with other methods and it is often very close to one.

Abstract
Computerised pattern recognition methods are becoming important for decision and diagnostic support in Medicine and many other disciplines. These Methods now permit to consider extensive sets of data, are extremely robust and can be used as inferential or inductive machines, making possibile the capture of fine diagnostic distinctions. This approach will be illustrated by considering the choice of suitable embryos to transfer in a process of human assisted reproduction. It can be shown, like in many other applications, that the precision obtained is very much higher than with other methods and it is often very close to one.File in questo prodotto:
