Concerns of a non-discriminatory and inclusive nature are relatively consensual in today's society. Indeed, gender equality is one of the Goals in the United. Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2015). This exploratory study seeks to understand how gender-inclusive language is used in its various forms (written, oral and visual) in international institutions and organizations (European Parliament; General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union), academically (University) and on the Internet. It is also the aim of this study to understand which are the strategies for using gender-inclusive language for the teaching and learning of Portuguese as a foreign language (PLE) and, equally, how to prepare students for their future at a professional level (for instance as translators, mediators or interpreters).

Abstract
Concerns of a non-discriminatory and inclusive nature are relatively consensual in today's society. Indeed, gender equality is one of the Goals in the United. Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2015). This exploratory study seeks to understand how gender-inclusive language is used in its various forms (written, oral and visual) in international institutions and organizations (European Parliament; General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union), academically (University) and on the Internet. It is also the aim of this study to understand which are the strategies for using gender-inclusive language for the teaching and learning of Portuguese as a foreign language (PLE) and, equally, how to prepare students for their future at a professional level (for instance as translators, mediators or interpreters).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
