This paper describes a research project which was carried out at the university of Hull (UK) between February 1999 and February 2002: its aim was to investigate the viability of CAIT, Computer Assisted Interpreter Training. A software prototype, Interpretations, was developed for beginners in the early stages of their training in simultaneous interpreting. The main findings from the testing phase of the program are illustrated, focusing on students' feedback and suggestions.
Il presente contributo descrive un progetto di ricerca svolto all'Università di Hull (Regno Unito) tra il febbraio 1999 e il febbraio 2002: l'obiettivo era studiare la fattibilità del CAIT, Computer Assisted Interpreter Training (formazione per interpreti assistita dal computer). E' stato sviluppato un software, Interpretations, rivolto ai principianti in interpretazione simultanea. I principali risultati della fase pilota del programma sono illustrati con un'enfasi sulle reazioni e suggerimenti degli studenti.
